Social Media & Content Assistant
Full-time – 40 hours per week
Liverpool City Centre
Hospitality / Bars & Venues
We're looking for a creative, outgoing and social-media-savvy Social Media & Content Assistant to help look after the online presence of several busy Irish bars and venues across Liverpool city centre.
This is a hands-on role covering 3–4 venues, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being out in the venues, creating content and capturing what's actually happening rather than spending the whole week behind a desk.
The Role
You'll work across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, helping us create engaging content that showcases our venues, events, live music, sport, food, drinks and the people who make them what they are.
A big part of the role will be creating content from within the venues – filming and editing TikToks and Reels, taking photos, spotting content opportunities and helping develop ideas that will get people engaging with our brands.
You'll also help with the day-to-day running of the venues' social channels and customer enquiries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating regular content for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
- Filming and editing TikToks, Reels and short-form video
- Taking photos and capturing content within our venues
- Helping plan social media content around events, live music, sport and key trading dates
- Posting and scheduling content across multiple venue accounts
- Responding to messages, comments and customer enquiries
- Keeping an eye on trends and identifying opportunities for our venues to get involved
- Helping develop new ideas and campaigns to grow our audiences
- Taking incoming customer calls and handling table and event bookings
- Supporting the wider marketing team when required
Who We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need years of professional marketing experience. We're much more interested in finding someone who understands social media, has a natural eye for content and isn't afraid to pick up a phone and start filming.
You'll ideally be:
- Fully comfortable using TikTok, Instagram and Facebook
- Confident creating and editing short-form video content
- Creative and able to generate your own content ideas
- Comfortable approaching people and capturing content in busy venues
- A strong communicator, both online and over the phone
- Organised enough to manage content across several different brands
- Interested in hospitality, nightlife, events and what's happening around Liverpool
- Reliable, enthusiastic and happy working as part of a busy marketing team
Experience with tools such as CapCut, Canva or similar editing software would be useful, but isn't essential if you're already confident creating good social content.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
Because our venues are at their busiest when our customers are out, this isn't a traditional Monday-to-Friday, 9–5 marketing job.
Wednesday nights and weekend availability are particularly important, as these are key times for capturing live content from the venues.
Your working week will therefore be a mixture of daytime marketing/admin work and time spent within the venues during key trading periods.
Why Join Us?
You'll get the opportunity to work with some of Liverpool city centre's busiest Irish hospitality venues and create content around live music, major sporting events, nightlife and some of the city's biggest trading occasions.
It's a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in social media, content creation and hospitality marketing, with plenty of scope to develop their skills and take more responsibility as they grow into the role.
To apply, send us your CV along with links to any TikTok, Instagram or other social content you've created. Personal content is absolutely fine – we're interested in seeing what you can do.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
