Barista & Waiting Staff WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND
We are recruiting for a local, enthusiastic, cheerful and hardworking person to join us in our very busy Café restaurant.
Duties to include:
- Make and serve hot and cold drinks
- Taking customer orders and table waiting
- Assisting with washing up & general cleaning
- Answering telephone calls/emails
- Assisting with social media
- Assisting with stock taking
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience of working in a similar environment.
However, training will be provided.
The ideal applicant would be flexible and has to be available week days and weekends. If you are in full time education, this job isn’t for you. Candidates are required to be fit and energetic in order to succeed in our fast past environment.
Rotas provided a month at a time. Shifts allocated would typically be 2-3 shifts per week which will always include a Thursday and a Friday plus one or two shifts over the weekend. Hours can vary from 8:30am to 5pm, 10am to 4pm or 12pm to 4pm. But most often will be 8.5 hours.
Occasionally there is evening work, however this is rare. At most, twice a month.
Please be aware the café is closed every Monday.
Selected applicants will be invited to attend a paid trial shift.

Please do not apply unless you’re local and are able to drive or walk to the cafe. Candidates from Colchester, Ipswich, Braintree, Chelmsford and further afield will not be accepted as it's not a easy commute.
