Job Summary
We are seeking 2 dedicated Play Workers to join our team providing engaging and safe play activities for children. The role involves supervising and interacting with children in an after shool club/holiday club setting, fostering their development through play. We are seeking a qualified and unqualified staff member. Training is available for the right candidate.
The hours of work would be 3pm-6.15pm, 3/5 days a week term-time with additional hours throughout the school holidays.
Duties
- Manage and oversee play activities for children, both indoors and outdoors
- Provide leadership and guidance during play sessions
- Engage with children to create a fun and stimulating play environment
- Utilise childcare skills to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Qualified staff will use their knowledge of early childhood education principles to support children's learning through play
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Drive initiatives that promote creativity and social interaction among children
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but training will be discussed.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- Qualifications in early childhood education are desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and adults
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
