Poke House is looking for two passionate and motivated Restaurant General Managers to lead our vibrant teams at our London locations: Battersea Station and Portobello Road. As a General Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and driving the success and profitability of the restaurant.
- Operate a successful and profitable restaurant aligned with Poke House’s objectives and standards.
- Lead and support the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu to advise customers and promote sales.
- Be the primary contact for resolving store-related customer challenges.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and company assets.
- Conduct trial shifts and supervise team members, ensuring workstations are orderly and stocked.
- Coach and develop team members to meet revenue and service goals.
- Assist in conducting regular job chats, probation reviews, and appraisals.
- Manage staff performance and foster a positive team environment.
- Collaborate with HR on attendance, sickness, and employee relations issues.
- Support the Store Manager in staff rota planning and achievement of monthly targets.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback on social media.
- Manage stock orders, deliveries, and returns while ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Uphold company policies on health and safety, emergency procedures, and security.
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and coach a team effectively.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting performance targets.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
- Honest, trustworthy, and practical with a flexible approach.
