Job Summary
Kent Offshore Limited is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to support our continued growth across the oil and gas, energy, industrial and terminal sectors.
The role will be based in Aberdeen and focused on developing new opportunities for Kent Offshore’s preservation, corrosion prevention, fabric maintenance and preventative maintenance services. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the energy sector, with existing contacts across operators, EPCs, drilling contractors, service companies, fabric maintenance providers and wider supply chain organisations.
This is a hands-on business development role suited to someone who already understands preservation and corrosion control, and can confidently open doors, build relationships and convert opportunities into live projects.
About Kent Offshore
Kent Offshore specialises in asset preservation, corrosion control and preventative maintenance for critical equipment and infrastructure across the energy, offshore, marine, industrial and tank storage sectors.
Our services include preservation management, VCI corrosion prevention, protective coatings, fabric maintenance support, spare parts preservation, shutdown support, site surveys, preservation scopes, condition reporting and product supply.
We work with operators, contractors and asset owners to help protect equipment during construction, operation, shutdown, storage, lay-up and long-term preservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Aberdeen, the wider UK energy sector and relevant international markets.
- Build strong relationships with operators, drilling contractors, EPCs, fabric maintenance contractors, procurement teams and asset owners.
- Promote Kent Offshore’s preservation, corrosion control, fabric maintenance and preventative maintenance services.
- Use existing industry contacts to open conversations and generate qualified leads.
- Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits, networking events and industry functions.
- Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals, capability introductions and technical/commercial submissions.
- Work with the wider Kent Offshore team to develop scopes of work based on client requirements.
- Maintain and update the company CRM with leads, opportunities, contact information and sales activity.
- Support marketing and outreach campaigns targeted at oil and gas, energy, terminals, renewables and industrial clients.
- Monitor market activity, upcoming projects, shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and new opportunities.
- Provide regular pipeline updates and sales reports to senior management.
- Help grow Kent Offshore’s presence in Aberdeen and position the company as a trusted specialist in preservation and corrosion prevention.
Essential Requirements
- Proven business development or sales experience within the oil and gas, energy, offshore, industrial or related sectors.
- Experience or strong working knowledge of preservation, corrosion control, fabric maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Existing contacts within the oil and gas and energy sector, particularly in Aberdeen and the North Sea supply chain.
- Ability to understand client requirements and identify where Kent Offshore can add value.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with technical, commercial, procurement and senior management contacts.
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage leads, contacts and sales activity.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience selling services or products linked to coatings, corrosion prevention, asset integrity, maintenance, shutdowns, preservation or offshore projects.
- Knowledge of drilling contractors, operators, EPCs, FPSOs, rigs, terminals, renewables or industrial maintenance environments.
- Experience preparing commercial proposals or supporting tender submissions.
- Understanding of preservation products, VCI materials, coatings, mechanical preservation or long-term equipment storage.
Package
- Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per year, depending on experience.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will already be known within the Aberdeen energy market and will understand the challenges operators and contractors face around corrosion, asset life extension, maintenance, shutdowns and equipment preservation.
We are looking for someone commercially driven, technically aware and confident enough to build Kent Offshore’s presence in the region.
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
