About us
Our small but ambitious firm of Chartered Financial Planners is looking for a full time front-of-house receptionist/administrator to join our friendly team at our offices in the picturesque Bristol countryside.
Please note:Due to the location of our office, access to your own vehicle is essential.
About the role
We aim to provide an exceptional level of service to all of our clients and you will play an instrumental role in us achieving this. As our front-of-house, this is a vitally important position as you will be the first person to speak to clients (both existing and prospective) on the telephone and the first to welcome them into our offices, making sure that they feel well looked-after from their very first contact onwards. All our clients come to us by personal recommendation, and this makes it a particularly rewarding place to work.
The role extends to keeping the office well-presented and well-stocked, organising any maintenance work as necessary for our equipment, IT systems and office buildings.
You’ll also work closely alongside our team of administrators and paraplanners ‘behind the scenes’ to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our back office records and processes.
About you
Our clients have high expectations and so we maintain high standards accordingly; this means that you need a super keen eye for detail, sound numerical skills and a high standard of written English. A calm but confident manner, the ability to think laterally and a can-do attitude are crucial. Given the nature of our work, complete discretion is vital.
Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of Office365 (MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook) are essential. Experience of other adviser back office software (e.g. Intelligent Office) and investment platforms is highly desirable (but not essential).
The ideal candidate will have experience within an office environment but we welcome applications from those with strong IT skills who have demonstrable experience of providing top tier customer service in other settings.
For someone interested in developing a career in financial services, we can offer support with industry qualifications and the opportunity to learn from an experienced team.
Working hours
This is a full time, fully office-based role with normal working hours of 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 12.45pm on Fridays to align with our current office opening hours. As our offices are based in Chew Magna, a village just South of Bristol, own transport is a necessity.
Reward package
In return for your efforts and achievements, you can expect a competitive package including a company pension scheme (into which we pay 8% of your basic salary), Group Life Cover and Group Income Protection (subject to acceptance/underwriting), in addition to 25 days holiday per year (plus Bank Holidays) and the ability to buy up to 5 additional days of holiday if desired.
