We are looking for a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents.
Reporting to the General Manager and Deputy Manager, you will provide strong clinical leadership and expertise, ensuring residents receive the highest possible standards of care while working in line with NMC guidelines and company policies and procedures.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be an important part of our clinical leadership team, helping to create a positive environment where residents receive outstanding care and colleagues feel supported to develop and succeed.
Clinical Leadership & Team Management
- Support the Deputy Manager with the overall delivery of clinical care within the home.
- Lead, motivate and inspire the clinical team to deliver consistently high standards of care.
- Support the training, development, supervision and appraisal of clinical colleagues.
- Help team members achieve their full potential and ensure they remain competent and confident in their roles.
- Promote the Opus Care vision and ensure clinical practice remains aligned with NMC standards.
- Support the completion of internal and external audit actions within required timescales.
- Help maintain effective staffing rotas and ensure resources are used efficiently.
Delivering Outstanding Resident Care
- Support the continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
- Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and accurately reflect residents’ individual needs and the care being delivered.
- Ensure medication is ordered and administered safely and in accordance with company policies and NMC guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the best possible care.
- Promote relationship-centred, clinical and dementia care of the highest standard.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
- Respond promptly and compassionately to residents who may be distressed or require additional support.
- Encourage meaningful engagement and conversation based around each resident’s individual lifestyle, interests and choices.
- Support the development and delivery of meaningful activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and always uphold residents’ dignity, choice and individuality.
- Ensure any clinical concerns are promptly communicated to the General Manager and Deputy Manager.
- Handle complaints appropriately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Keep your professional knowledge and skills up to date through ongoing learning and development.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure incidents are appropriately reported to the Home/General Manager.
- Ensure medication is stored safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the completion and review of risk assessments.
- Promote safe working practices throughout the home.
- Ensure equipment and the environment are maintained to a safe standard.
- Ensure all regulatory, statutory and NMC requirements are consistently met.
What we're looking for

Essential qualifications
- NQF Level 6 or equivalent.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
- Proven experience of leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a clinical team.
