Job Overview
Julian Paving Ltd is looking for an experienced groundworker & tarmac surfacing, paving, kerbing and drainage operative to join our team working across London.
We carry out a range of works including highway works, car parks, private roads, patching and commercial projects. The role involves all aspects of surfacing including preparation works, levels, kerbing and edging, laying and raking tarmac, and working as part of a gang on both commercial and private jobs.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a professional environment, supporting both commercial and residential clients.
The role includes:
- Lay and level concrete slabs, pavers and stones according to project specifications
- Raking and finishing asphalt to a high standard
- Preparing and grading sub-bases
- Working with rollers and small plant
- Operating power tools including saws, drills, and mixers safely and effectively
- Ensuring health & safety standards are followed at all times
- Edging, levels, and general surfacing works
- Assisting with site setup and keeping jobs organised
- Reliable and able to work as part of a small team
