Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Support individuals in following their personalized care plans to meet their specific needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes observed
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Support safe transportation for appointments or outings using driving skills when required
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Valid driving license and ability to drive safely when needed for home care or outings
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to read and understand care plans written in English to deliver appropriate support
- Basic IT skills for recording documentation electronically and updating resident records accurately
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others thrive in a supportive environment
- Willingness to undertake relevant training related to caregiving standards and health & safety regulations
