We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within care environments, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare staff.
- Support with light domestic tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable living space for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Drive or accompany patients as required for appointments or outings, ensuring safe transportation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of patients.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to facilitate clear communication.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required by the role.
