Job Description
K&B Crushers are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Crusher Operative to join our experienced team. Working across sites throughout the UK, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile jaw crushing equipment, processing concrete, hardcore and other demolition arisings into quality recycled aggregates.
Key Requirements/Qualifications
- Safely operate and monitor mobile crushing equipment.
- Carry out thorough pre-start, routine and post-operation checks.
- Set up and position the crusher safely and efficiently for each project.
- Monitor material flow, crusher performance and finished aggregate quality.
- Identify and report defects, blockages or operational issues.
- Follow manufacturer instructions, RAMS, site rules and K&B Crushers' health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area around the crushing plant.
- Carry out basic routine maintenance and lubrication as required.
- Communicate effectively with site teams, plant operators and supervisors.
- Ensure materials are processed to the required specification.
- Complete relevant daily records, inspections and operational paperwork.
- Support the wider K&B team in delivering an efficient and professional service to customers.
- Travel to sites across the UK as required.
The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable and comfortable working outdoors in a busy construction and demolition environment. Previous experience operating crushers or other heavy plant is highly desirable, with relevant plant competence certification an advantage. CSCS crusher operative card essential.
Pay: £18.00-£18.50 per hour
