Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Full Time Hairdresser to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling and experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a wide range of hairdressing services, including colouring, cutting, styling, and specialised treatments. We are a Goldwell Salon, and work closely with them to continue our skills in salon and at their London Academy. Experience in store management, mentoring junior staff, and upselling products will be highly valued. This position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to developing their skills within the hair industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments.
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering personalised advice and solutions.
- Manage front desk operations, including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Assist with store management tasks, ensuring the salon remains organised, clean, and well-stocked with necessary products.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hairdressing techniques and customer care.
- Upsell retail products effectively to enhance client experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends, techniques, and industry standards through ongoing professional development.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and build a loyal customer base.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a hairdresser with a strong portfolio demonstrating hairstyling skills.
- Competence in barbering is desirable but not essential.
- Skills in store management or supervisory roles within a salon environment are advantageous.
- Proficiency in customer service with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with front desk operations or administrative duties is beneficial.
- Additional expertise in extensions will be considered an asset.
- Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction while increasing sales revenue.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
