Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete work efficiently and safely
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate tasks and clarify project requirements
- Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve smooth, even coatings on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and organizing tools and supplies
- Conduct routine inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met before project completion
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles demonstrating proficiency in surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation between multiple job sites
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting, decorating, and construction environments
- Ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately
- Prior experience with wallpaper installation or decorative finishes is advantageous but not mandatory
