Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crisis Children’s Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of specialised residential facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in care, providing leadership to staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a compassionate leader with a strong background in care management and child welfare, capable of managing complex situations with professionalism and empathy. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable, alongside expertise in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff to deliver high-quality support tailored to each child's needs.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with families, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children by maintaining a secure environment and responding effectively to emergencies.
- Oversee daily routines including behavioural management, educational activities, and health monitoring.
- Administer medication accurately following prescribed guidelines and maintain detailed records.
- Coordinate training programmes for staff to ensure compliance with best practices in child welfare and specialised care such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Liaise with external agencies, social services, healthcare providers, and families to facilitate comprehensive support for children.
- Monitor regulatory compliance, prepare reports for inspections, and uphold organisational policies.
- Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation efficiently to ensure smooth operation of the home.
Skills
- Proven management experience within a care environment, preferably in a care home or assisted living setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of child welfare practices alongside specialised knowledge in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous.
- Experience in developing individualised care plans tailored to complex needs.
- Competence in medication administration adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Compassionate approach with outstanding communication skills suitable for working with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation governing child protection and residential care services.

Pay: £50,000.00-£120,737.31 per year
