We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Progress Coach to join our Pre-16 Curriculum Area within Access 2 Learning in Abingdon. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting students' personal development, wellbeing, attendance, progress and progression whilst delivering engaging Core programme sessions.
About the Role
As a Progress Coach, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis and in group settings, providing pastoral support and guidance that enables them to succeed both academically and personally.
What You'll Be Doing

Deliver engaging Core sessions to Pre-16 students.
- Provide high-quality pastoral support and mentoring.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, behaviour and progress.
- Develop action plans and target-setting activities to maximise achievement.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum staff, Student Engagement, Careers teams and external agencies.
- Signpost students to appropriate support services where required.
- Support the development of employability, study and life skills.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Essential Experience:

A degree or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working with students, parents, employers and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- A passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals.
Desirable Experience:

Experience of working with young people.
- Experience delivering guidance, coaching or mentoring support.
