Due to increased work load we are looking for an experienced HV/LV Cable Jointer, up to 33KV, to join the team for a variety of work across Scotland’s central belt.
HV JOINTING works including:
- Faults, upgrades and new installs
- Reactive and proactive works for our clients
- Substation switchgear replacements
- New installs of HV cable runs and new substations
LV JOINTING works including:
- Upgrades and new installs
- Pillar/pathbox changeovers
- LV jointing of new and replacement substations
- Overlays with service transfers
- New build works, mains and services
- New connections
Responsibilities
Completion of paperwork including risk assessments, job cards and drawings to a high standard.
Support Trainee Cable Jointers in learning and improving skills.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, always adhering to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- SP or SSE authorisation is essential.
- Switching experience is desirable.
- Must have previous experience working with PILC/PICAS/XLPE cables.
- CSCS qualification is desirable.
- Must have good organisational skills and work well under pressure.
- Ability to lead a team to deliver projects in a timely manner.
- Current UK driving licence is essential.
- Must have right to work in the UK.
Working across Scotland’s central belt, you will ideally be based West of Glasgow or willing to relocate.
