SpotLIGHT of the job
Head of education Lighting is a strategic role with the focus on growing our Education lighting business through identifying opportunities, building relationships and implementing effective business development strategies in all education related markets including Universities, Local Authorities and Academy Trusts, both public and private. This is a full sector ownership role to work collaboratively with the existing sales teams to drive results.
Responsibilities
- You will be a Education sector specialist to support the salesforce in accessing and securing education lighting opportunities.
- You will establish new customer networks with a broad mix of customer types including contractors, end users and specifiers.
- Develop and implement a detailed sales plan which integrates with the regional sales plans.
- Understanding of the Education Estates management and the new build construction markets to identify new opportunities for growth.
- You can ensure we are approved on the right frameworks to access projects.
- Identifying the correct conferences and exhibitions to represent the business appropriately.
- You will influence the required product strategy and marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with our major projects team to build on existing successes within the education sector
Skills & Experience
- You should have an understanding of the lighting, construction or building services sector with relevant experience in lighting within the education sector.
- Strong technical understanding of specific requirements and driving factors for lighting in the Education sector
- Proven track record of profitable long-term business partnerships and strong commercial mind-set.
- You are a great communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- You are a natural relationship builder who works closely with colleagues to ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything you do.
- You have the ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- You encounter challenges with a positive attitude and have an interest in technology.
- You have a curious mind with a desire for continuous improvement and development.
- High level of computer skills
Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
