Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a residential care home. Your primary focus will be on assisting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with residetns, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
- Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Document residents progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is an advantage.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others in need of support.
- Hold a Health and social care Level 2 qualification or willing to work towards
