Refuse Loader
Location: Oxted, RH8 9DB
Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Refuse Loaders to join the team at Biffa's Tandridge operation based at Warren Lane Depot in Oxted.
This is a physically active outdoor role, working as part of a crew collecting household waste and recycling across the local area. You will be responsible for loading waste and recycling materials onto the back of refuse collection vehicles while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect household waste and recycling from residential areas
- Load waste and recycling safely onto the rear of the refuse vehicle
- Work as part of a team to complete daily collection routes efficiently
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with members of the public
- Assist with keeping collection areas clean and safe
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to undertake physically demanding work and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Previous experience in waste collection or a similar manual role is beneficial but not essential
- Safety-conscious approach to work
