Penshurst Fine Foods is looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Warehouse Packer to join our busy warehouse team.
You will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders ready for delivery. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving food distribution warehouse, including work in chilled and frozen areas.
Main responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Checking products, quantities and date codes
- Preparing completed orders for delivery
- Loading products onto delivery vehicles
- Handling chilled, frozen and ambient food products
- Reporting shortages, damaged goods and picking errors
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
- Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Working efficiently to ensure orders are completed on time
What we are looking for
- Reliable, punctual and able to work night shifts
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work quickly and accurately
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving stock
- Comfortable working in chilled and frozen environments
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse or order-picking experience is preferred, although training can be provided
- A good standard of spoken and written English
