Multiskilled Fabric Engineer (Joinery Bias)

We're a hands-on, growing team that prides itself on quality workmanship, reliability, and strong client relationships. We're now looking for a Multiskilled Fabric Engineer with a joinery bias to join us.
The Role
You'll carry out a broad range of building fabric maintenance and repair work across our client sites, with joinery as your core trade. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality work and can turn their hand to more than one discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out first and second fix joinery, including doors, frames, skirting, cladding, partitions, and general carpentry repairs
- Complete general fabric maintenance tasks: minor plastering, tiling, decorating, and basic plumbing or locking/ironmongery repairs
- Diagnose and resolve reactive maintenance issues across commercial sites
- Work from job sheets, drawings, and specifications to a high standard of finish
- Liaise professionally with site contacts, clients, and the wider Premac team
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time on site
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Time-served joiner or equivalent trade qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Proven multiskilled experience across other building trades (plastering, tiling, decorating, basic plumbing, etc.)
- Experience in a reactive maintenance or fit-out environment
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and a professional, client-facing manner
