Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our dynamic event company. This role involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities, supporting the organisation and delivery of event equipment and materials. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth operations, timely deliveries, and excellent service for our clients. A valid driving licence and experience in commercial driving are essential, along with a proactive attitude and strong organisational skills.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver equipment to various event locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring all goods are handled carefully and securely.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Organise warehouse stock, including picking, packing, and storing equipment efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting when required to move large or bulky items within the warehouse or during set-up at events.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and inventory movements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during operations.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar warehouse operative role.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for commercial driving
- Experience in commercial driving, with a good understanding of road safety regulations.-must be able to drive a LWB van
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Organised with strong attention to detail to manage schedules and inventory accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work night and early start
Pay: £13.00 per hour
