HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Preston
Monday to Sunday | Ongoing Day & Night Work | £15.32–£18.80 per hour (£17.17–£21.07 rolled-up holiday pay)
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for a new client based in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing Monday to Sunday work, with both day and night shifts available, consistent hours and regular shifts.
The role involves driving palletised curtain-side vehicles, delivering a professional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Shift Times
Day Shifts
- Monday to Sunday
- Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
Night Shifts
- Monday to Sunday
- Night shifts available
- Shift times to be confirmed
Weekend Work
- Weekend work is available
- Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday shifts available
- Both day and night shifts may be available at weekends
Pay Rates
Standard Pay
- Monday to Friday (Days): £15.32 per hour
- Monday - Friday (Nights): £16.80 per hour
- Saturday: £18.00 per hour
- Sunday & Bank Holiday: £18.80 per hour
Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
- Monday to Friday (Days): £17.17 per hour
- Monday - Friday (Nights): £18.83 per hour
- Saturday: £20.17 per hour
- Sunday & Bank Holiday: £21.07 per hour
The Role
- Driving Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles
- Operating palletised curtain-side vehicles
- Completing 1–3 deliveries per shift safely, efficiently and on time
- No handball required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Complying with all transport legislation and company procedures
- Providing a professional and reliable service
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
