Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic systems and components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a busy industrial environment. The Hydraulic Fitter will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of hydraulic equipment across various projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and repair hydraulic systems and components according to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydraulic machinery to prevent breakdowns and optimise performance.
- Diagnose faults within hydraulic systems using specialised tools and techniques.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs, adjustments, and installations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate assembly and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks during maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hydraulic Fitter or in a similar mechanical role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Experience with power tools relevant to hydraulic system installation and repair.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in hydraulics or mechanical engineering are desirable but not essential.
