Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe and Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service standards. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, safety, and team management. Duties
- Manage all aspects of the café and restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to health regulations.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, menu planning, and special dietary requirements.
- Serve as the point of contact for customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the premises, including dining areas, kitchen, and storage facilities.
- Implement training programmes for staff on service techniques, food safety protocols, and hospitality best practices.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations across all operational areas.
- Manage barista services where applicable, including coffee preparation and beverage service.
- Assist in promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista duties is desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality software systems for reservations, inventory management, or point-of-sale operations is advantageous.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Good communication skills with a friendly demeanour conducive to team building and customer relations.
- Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef or cook is considered a plus but not essential.
