CES Windows is an established window and door installation business based in Levenshulme, Manchester. We specialise in the supply and installation of high-quality windows, doors and related products.
We are looking for an experienced Skilled Window & Door Fitter to join our team and take responsibility for carrying out high-quality installations across Manchester and the surrounding areas.
The Role
As a Skilled Window & Door Fitter, you will be responsible for the professional installation of windows and doors in properties. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring every installation is completed to a high standard and with excellent attention to detail.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced fitter who takes pride in their workmanship and understands the importance of delivering a professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing UPVC and aluminium windows and doors
- Removing existing windows, doors and frames
- Installing frames, glass, doors, trims, packers and associated components
- Ensuring windows and doors are correctly fitted, level, plumb and secure
- Carrying out sealing, finishing and making-good work to a high standard
- Diagnosing and resolving fitting issues on site
- Working safely and in accordance with relevant building and health & safety requirements
- Protecting customers' homes and keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout installations
- Working efficiently to agreed timescales
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced members of the team where required
- Carrying out snagging and ensuring work is completed to the required standard
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a window and/or door fitter
- Strong knowledge of window and door installation
- Experience fitting UPVC windows and doors
- Experience with aluminium products would be an advantage
- Excellent practical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of hand and power tools
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional, reliable and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of finish
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and handling windows, doors and glass
A full UK driving licence is required.
Relevant industry qualifications or accreditations would be advantageous, but proven experience and quality of workmanship are the most important factors.
