Duties
- Offer personalised support to children and young people, encouraging their social and emotional development
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, educational activities, and recreational outings
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence
- Implement tailored programmes that support behavioural development and learning goals
- Mentor individuals through one-to-one sessions, providing guidance and encouragement
- Support educational activities by assisting with homework and teaching new skills
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support plans are followed
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies
Requirements
- Experience or interest in working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Skills in mentoring, teaching, or supporting behavioural development are advantageous
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly within a team environment
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare or social care are beneficial but not essential
- A positive attitude and commitment to supporting individuals' wellbeing and development
