Currently, we are in need of a Temporary Works Design Engineer to assist in a wide range of temporary works design due to an increased workload and an expansion within the UK construction industry. Our clients range from local subcontractors to multinationals with £1 billion+ turnover. At times you may be based on site, providing support during the construction phase of projects.
We have an expert team of engineers, led by our experienced Chief Executive Officer, who produce both project specific and standard detail designs in line with British Standards or Eurocodes and CDM.Typical design work we undertake include but not exclusively:
You will report to our Senior Engineer and be responsible for:
- Designing and checking temporary works schemes to ensure compliance with BS5975 and appropriate British Standards and Eurocodes.
- Ensure schemes provided to our clients are the most suitable to their needs, wherever possible suggesting Value Engineering solutions and altering initial schemes where programme or cost savings can be made.
- Assisting with the general operation of the company and supporting our Temporary Works Co-ordinators on client’s site throughout the UK.
Requirements:
Previous temporary works design experience or a background in structures.
Good level of knowledge in Structural Analysis and Soil Mechanics.
Ability to use AutoCAD & Tedds.
Full UK Driving License.
