Field-Based Engineering Opportunity
Are you an experienced engineer looking for a varied role with excellent earning potential, ongoing manufacturer training, and the opportunity to work with advanced materials handling equipment?
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer covering the West London region. Ideally, candidates will be located within easy reach of Uxbridge, Heathrow, Hayes, Bracknell, Windsor, or the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers from automotive, plant, agricultural, powered access, or industrial equipment backgrounds who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Working Hours
Choose from either a 40-hour or 45-hour working week:
- Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 14:30pm
- Late Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00pm – 22:00pm
Additional overtime opportunities are available, providing realistic on-target earnings of £35,000 - £55,000+ depending on experience and overtime worked.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of materials handling equipment at customer sites.
You'll work on equipment ranging from pallet trucks and warehouse machines to counterbalance forklifts, VNA equipment, and automated handling systems. The role combines preventative maintenance with reactive breakdown support, ensuring customers' operations remain productive and efficient.
No two days are the same, offering a diverse workload and the chance to continually develop your technical expertise.

Skills & Experience Required
We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Hydraulics
- Plant maintenance
- Vehicle repair and servicing
- Agricultural machinery
- Powered access equipment
- Forklift maintenance
- Field service engineering
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Plant Fitter, Plant Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Forklift Engineer, HGV Technician, or similar role would be highly advantageous.
An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant practical experience.
