As part of the continued growth of our Private Credit Secondaries platform in EMEA, we are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our London team.
Role Overview
The Vice President will play a leading role in the origination and execution of private credit secondary transactions across Europe. The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers, private credit sponsors, institutional investors, and secondary market participants, advising clients on complex GP-led and LP-led transactions, portfolio sales, continuation vehicles, fund recapitalisations, and broader liquidity solutions.
This is a highly visible client-facing role that offers significant responsibility across transaction execution, business development, and junior team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Lead the execution of private credit secondary transactions, including:
- GP-led continuation vehicles
- LP portfolio sales
- Fund restructurings and recapitalisations
- NAV financing and liquidity solutions
- Structured secondary transactions
- Manage due diligence processes, data rooms, financial analyses, and transaction timelines.
- Coordinate advisors, legal counsel, investors, and internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Prepare and review marketing materials, investment memoranda, management presentations, and financial models.
- Drive valuation analysis and portfolio assessment across a broad range of private credit strategies.
Client Coverage & Origination
- Develop and maintain relationships with private credit fund managers, asset managers, institutional investors, and secondary market participants.
- Support senior bankers in originating new mandates and identifying strategic opportunities for clients.
- Participate in client meetings, industry conferences, and business development initiatives.
- Monitor market trends within private credit, secondary markets, direct lending, opportunistic credit, distressed debt, and specialty finance.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts.
- Oversee workstreams and ensure the delivery of high-quality client materials.
- Contribute to recruitment, training, and development initiatives within the broader team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
- 6-10 years of relevant investment banking, private capital advisory, private credit, secondaries, leveraged finance, restructuring, or alternative asset management experience.
- Demonstrated experience executing private capital transactions and interacting with institutional investors.
- Strong understanding of private credit markets, fund structures, portfolio valuation methodologies, and secondary transaction dynamics.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
