What You’ll Be Doing
Please note that this is a fixed-term contract from September 2026 – July 2027. The position is part-time, one day per week.
As a Lecturer within our SEND provision, you'll deliver engaging, learner-centred teaching while creating an inclusive environment where every learner can succeed. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you'll support learners' academic, personal and future progression while contributing to the continued development of our outstanding provision.
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across SEND programmes.
- Plan innovative, flexible and blended learning experiences that engage and motivate learners.
- Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and complete teaching administration effectively.
- Provide constructive feedback and implement learner-centred assessment strategies.
- Act as a personal tutor, offering pastoral support and guidance to help learners achieve their goals.
- Support learner recruitment, interviews, induction activities and progression events.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives and course team activities.
- Participate in staff development, enrichment activities, open events and wider College life while promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about inclusive learning and committed to helping every learner reach their full potential.
You will ideally have:
- A degree or relevant professional qualification.
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to achieve one within the required timescales.
- Excellent teaching skills with substantial relevant teaching experience.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding learner-centred education.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage teaching administration effectively.
- Excellent communication, coaching and pastoral support skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with teaching and industry best practice.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and creating a positive learning environment.
