Finance Analyst - Barrow-in-Furness

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Analyst to join a major organisation based in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of cost control activities across a busy operational environment. Working alongside the Cost Control team, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, forecasting, procurement support, and ensuring robust cost management processes are maintained.

Responsibilities

Support cost control activities across operational and project expenditure.

Assist with budget monitoring, cost reporting and forecasting.

Prepare monthly accruals and maintain cost tracking information.

Analyse financial data using SAP and other reporting tools.

Investigate cost variances and support the production of accurate financial reports.

Monitor contractor and supplier costs, identifying risks and opportunities for cost savings.

Support procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoice processing.

Ensure Procure-to-Pay processes are followed and maintained.

Review change requests and support financial governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist with timesheet analysis and cost allocation where required.

Attend internal and supplier meetings to support effective cost management.

Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role.
About You
To be successful, you will have:

Previous experience using SAP.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent numerical and analytical ability.

A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.

Previous experience within Finance, Cost Control or Commercial Administration.

Experience working within the energy, engineering, manufacturing or similar industry would be advantageous.

Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control and Procure-to-Pay processes is desirable.
