Step Into Teaching is offering a rewarding Learning Support Assistant and ICT/Computer Science Teaching Assistant roles within a SEN school in the East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, and West Hoathly area. This is a fantastic opportunity to build experience and make a genuine impact, while drawing on your ICT or Computer Science knowledge to support students in developing digital literacy, computing skills, and confidence across the curriculum.

Role starting in September!
The ideal graduate will:
- have a Driving License and access to a car - this is a requirement due to the remote location
- Hold or be predicted a degree in ICT, Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering, or a related subject (2:2 or above)
- Be supportive, friendly, and approachable
- Be resilient and motivated to support and inspire students to reach their full potential and strive to achieve excellence
- Hold experience working with young people (preferable, but not essential)
- Have a creative and reflective mindset within the classroom, with the ability to make ICT and Computer Science engaging and accessible
- Be able to work as part of a team
What you will gain from this role:
- The ability to establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to support them and gain valuable one-to-one experience. This experience will allow you to gain insight into the day-to-day classroom environment and the role of a teacher.
- The confidence to promote and encourage personal development in pupils whilst maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
- Experience supporting students with digital skills, computing projects, and technology-enhanced learning.
- September 2026 Start.
- £500 - £530 per week – term time only.
