Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering large-scale ANPR installation projects across multiple locations throughout the UK. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage end-to-end delivery of ANPR installation projects across multiple sites
- Develop detailed project plans for multi site roll outs, timelines, and resource schedules
- Coordinate site surveys, design validation, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Ensure alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations
- Liaise with colleagues as appropriate.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for colleagues, subcontractors, and clients where required.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and risk assessments as requested by the client.
- Manage expectations and resolve issues promptly
Operational Coordination
- Oversee installation teams and subcontractors across various UK locations
- Ensure efficient allocation of engineers, materials, and equipment
- Coordinate logistics, including travel and any special requirements.
Budget & Cost Control
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking and identify anything outside of our usual scope.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Keep an asset register of all equipment and locations up to date.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety regulations
- Maintain documentation including RAMS, permits, and handover packs as needed.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and ensure installations meet technical specifications
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks where appropriate
- Manage delays, site constraints, and technical challenges communicating with all stakeholders as needed.
- Escalate critical issues where necessary
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience managing multi-site installation projects (preferably ANPR or similar)
- Good knowledge of ANPR systems
- Experience working with subcontractors and field-based engineering teams
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a hand on, can do approach.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable
- Experience with large-scale or nationwide rollouts
- Familiarity with ANPR and associated compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Project management qualification
- Relevant technical or engineering background – advantageous
Other Requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
