Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in a residential home assuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a positive environment for those in our care.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals in following their care plans and ensure their needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff members.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home setting is essential also level 2 Diploma/nvq.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
- A caring attitude and the ability to work as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
