About SA Foundation CIC
SA Foundation CIC is a community-focused non-profit organisation that uses sport, education, mentoring, music and creative activities to improve opportunities for children, young people and local communities.
We work with schools, families, community organisations, local businesses and funders to deliver accessible programmes, particularly for young people facing financial disadvantage, SEND, SEMH needs or other barriers to participation.
As our work continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and relationship-focused Fundraising & Partnerships Officer to help us develop new income streams and build long-term support for our programmes.
The Role
This is a varied, community-facing role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and turning ideas into successful fundraising activity.
You will help generate income through community fundraising events, individual donations, corporate partnerships, sponsorships and local campaigns. You will also engage with businesses, supporters, community groups and other stakeholders to increase awareness of our work and encourage ongoing support.
The successful candidate will be confident representing the organisation, approaching potential partners and taking ownership of fundraising activity from the initial idea through to delivery and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver community fundraising events and campaigns.
- Build relationships with local businesses, corporate partners and potential sponsors.
- Secure sponsorship for programmes, events and community initiatives.
- Develop opportunities for individual giving, regular donations and supporter fundraising.
- Approach businesses and organisations to discuss partnerships, donations and in-kind support.
- Engage with schools, community groups, stakeholders and local networks.
- Attend networking events, meetings and community activities on behalf of SA Foundation CIC.
- Create fundraising proposals, presentations and sponsorship packages.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing donors, sponsors and supporters.
- Work with the marketing team to promote campaigns, impact stories and fundraising opportunities.
- Keep accurate records of contacts, conversations, donations and fundraising progress.
- Monitor agreed targets and provide regular updates to the leadership team.
- Support other fundraising opportunities where appropriate, including trusts, foundations and grant applications.
About You
We are interested in applicants with experience in fundraising, sales, business development, community engagement, partnerships or account management.
You should be:
- Confident communicating with businesses, supporters and community stakeholders.
- Comfortable approaching new contacts and developing relationships.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload.
- Creative when developing fundraising ideas and campaigns.
- Motivated by targets and achieving measurable results.
- Able to communicate the impact of our work clearly and persuasively.
- Comfortable attending meetings, networking events and community activities.
- Passionate about improving opportunities for children, young people and communities.
- Confident using email, Microsoft Office and basic contact-management systems.
Previous charity or non-profit fundraising experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Applicants with transferable experience in sales, partnerships, recruitment, events or business development are encouraged to apply.
Bonus Scheme
In addition to the hourly salary, the role includes the opportunity to earn performance-related bonuses based on agreed fundraising and partnership objectives.
The bonus structure will reward sustainable income generation, successful partnerships and the development of long-term supporter relationships.
Working Pattern
The role is for 24 hours per week, normally worked across three days. There may be some flexibility around working days.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for fundraising events, networking opportunities and community activities. Time off in lieu or adjusted working hours will be agreed where appropriate.
What We Offer
- A meaningful role within a growing community organisation.
- The opportunity to shape our fundraising strategy and activities.
- Performance-related bonus opportunities.
- Flexible working arrangements where appropriate.
- Support from our leadership, delivery and marketing teams.
- The chance to build partnerships that directly support local children and communities.
- Opportunities for professional development as the organisation grows.
