We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming, passionate team. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and reassurance as needed.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks such as attendance records and activity planning.
- Contribute to the organisation of special events and outings in line with nursery policies.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote inclusive practices within the nursery setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery environments, with strong knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Management skills to organise activities effectively and oversee children's routines.
- Leadership qualities to guide junior staff members and support team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work well with children of various ages, demonstrating patience, empathy, and creativity.
- Good organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently within a busy setting.
- Driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children safely.
