Job Overview
The Account Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Newport. This role is responsible for leading key client relationships, overseeing the delivery of insurance and financial services, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of commercial and personal accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and developing tailored solutions in line with NFU Mutual’s products and standards. You will be expected to meet clients at their premises to conduct reviews of their insurance, but also have a modern, air conditioned office space to work out of. A laptop and ipad will be provided so you are also able to work remotely when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying new business prospects
- Lead negotiations with underwriters to secure favorable terms, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term loyalty
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and effectively
- To deliver quality advice and consultation to complex commercial business' on their insurance needs.
Experience
- Proven track record in commercial insurance sales
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close complex deals confidently
- Excellent communication skills across various channels including face-to-face, phone, and digital platforms
- Experience in sales administration tasks such as CRM management, contract processing, and reporting
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and customer service best practices in a competitive environment
