Job Purpose
We are currently looking to appoint a Regional Quality Lead to work alongside our high-quality services in providing quality assurance and continuous improvement across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will provide leadership, coaching and support to operational teams in interpreting and implementing regulatory frameworks in a person-led manner. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality services and improving outcomes for the people we support through a culture of inclusion, learning, and excellence.
The successful candidate will complete detailed, impartial and expert reviews of service quality through audits and quality assurance activities across a designated geographical area. You will work in partnership with the people we support and their families to assess and improve the quality of care provided.
Role and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Improvement
- Complete proactive quality audits, assurance monitoring, coaching and mentoring to support services in achieving excellence.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and support services to implement positive changes.
- Undertake responsive audits and spot checks in response to quality performance metrics and intelligence.
- Develop and monitor quality improvement plans and corrective actions.
- Produce high-quality reports demonstrating learning, trends, and recommendations from audit activity.
- Validate and assess regulatory and improvement action plans.
Service Support
- Work alongside operational teams to support quality improvements and the closure of service actions.
- Deliver at least two quality audits per year for every service within your allocated region.
- Organise and complete Quality Improvement Calls for services requiring improvement or compliance support.
- Support the implementation of new systems and operational practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work collaboratively with the people we support, their families, carers and operational teams.
- Coordinate quality checks with stakeholders to ensure feedback informs service development.
- Contribute to the review and development of policies, procedures and operational processes.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within Health and Social Care.
- Detailed knowledge of social care regulation, legislation and reporting requirements.
- Experience working as an operational manager delivering high-quality person-centred care.
- Experience completing audits and using evidence-based assessments to drive quality improvement.
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems, action planning and performance monitoring.
- Experience of regulatory inspections, compliance frameworks and governance processes.
- Knowledge of RISCA, Health & Safety and GDPR requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor and motivate managers and teams.
- Confident using software systems and information technology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
