Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Laundry Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in professional laundry services, including wet cleaning and operating specialised machinery.
Duties
- Operate industrial laundry equipment, including industrial washing machines (Miele and Esporta), tumble dryers, trouser presses, and garment finishing equipment.
- Carry out wet cleaning processes on a variety of delicate and complex garments.
- Inspect garments for stains, damage, and specific cleaning requirements prior to processing.
- Handle garments with care to ensure the highest quality finish and prevent damage.
- Monitor machine cycles and make adjustments as required to achieve optimal results.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards.
- Assist with other laundry-related tasks as required by the supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional laundry environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in wet cleaning, pressing, and finishing techniques.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes and techniques.
- High level of reliability and a strong work ethic.
