Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Driver to join our construction and logistics team. The successful candidate will operate telehandlers to facilitate the movement of materials around the site, ensuring efficient and safe operations. Responsibilities
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately across the site
- Conduct routine safety checks and inspections of equipment prior to use
- Assist with loading and unloading lorries using appropriate attachments
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements
- Maintain a clean and organised work area around machinery
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with site protocols
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically operating telehandlers or similar lifting machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of telehandlers and excavators
- Familiarity with operating excavators is advantageous but not essential
- Valid certification for operating heavy machinery in accordance with local regulations
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently in a busy construction environment
