Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and recipes
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to alcohol licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender or in a similar role within a restaurant or bar environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
- A personable attitude with excellent communication skills
