Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks
- Manage materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update records, and process transactions accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and storage areas to ensure safety standards are met
- Support construction or maintenance projects within the warehouse as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge when applicable
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling and logistics processes
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one upon hire; experience operating forklifts is highly preferred
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods during work hours.
