Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Part Time Kitchen Staff Member to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist with food production and preparation of a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Support the cooking process, including assembling ingredients and operating kitchen equipment
- Prepare ingredients through peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure smooth workflow during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and waste is minimised in line with environmental policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary practices
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Experience in baking or pastry work is a plus but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A keen interest in developing culinary skills and knowledge
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting
