PARKS & ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATIVE

- Starting time: 6:00am
- Approximately 3–4 hours per day
- Early starts help minimise traffic, reduce disruption to park users, and allow work to be completed before peak public footfall
- Daily hours may vary depending on litter levels and waste volumes
- Occasional weekend work may be available at Double hourly rate
- Bank holiday work at double hourly rate
Location
Frome - Local parks, recreation grounds, public open spaces, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a company van safely between parks, public spaces, and designated work locations
- Empty council litter and dog waste bins
- Collect litter from parks, footpaths, play areas, and public spaces
- Replace bin liners and ensure bins are clean and presentable
- Report damaged bins, graffiti, vandalism, or other maintenance issues
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Maintain the company van in a clean and tidy condition

About You
- Full UK driving licence required
- Confident and responsible when driving a company vehicle
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Friendly and approachable when interacting with members of the public
- Able to communicate professionally and represent the company positively
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining public spaces
Pay: £13.10-£26.20 per hour
