Pay Range: £40,317 – £62,496 + TLR/SEN allowance depending on experience

ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark seeking an experienced SENDCO to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead SEND provision across the school, ensuring high-quality support and meaningful outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
The setting is known for its strong commitment to inclusion and a supportive leadership team, creating an environment where a dedicated SENDCO can make a significant and lasting impact.
This SENDCO role in Southwark would suit experienced Primary SENCOs, Inclusion Leads, or SEND Specialists who are confident leading SEND provision and ready to hit the ground running in a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities of a SENDCO:
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
- Oversee and implement EHCPs and individual support plans
- Work closely with class teachers to ensure effective differentiation and inclusive practice
- Liaise with parents, external agencies and professionals
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place
- Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND and safeguarding regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be actively working towards it
- Have proven experience as a SENDCO within a primary school setting (essential)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs and inclusive practice
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing
- Hold an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to deliver strong SEND outcomes
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (desirable)
