Turo Turo is a Filipino Bar & Grill in Tooting Broadway, serving bold Filipino food, grilled dishes, pulutan, brunch, events and catering.
We are looking for a strong Senior Chef / Kitchen Lead to join the team immediately. This is a hands-on role for someone who can step into a busy kitchen, support daily prep and service, keep food consistent, and help lead a small team.
This is not a purely creative Head Chef role. We need someone reliable, organised and fast who can execute well, take responsibility during service, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Running sections confidently during service
- Supporting prep, ordering and stock control
- Maintaining food quality, consistency and portion control
- Leading junior chefs and kitchen assistants during shifts
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant
- Supporting brunch, events, catering and street food prep
- Following recipes and systems properly
- Working closely with the founder and wider team
The ideal person will have:
- Previous experience as a Senior CDP, Junior Sous or Kitchen Lead
- Strong grill, fryer and general service experience
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- A clean, professional and reliable attitude
- Interest in Filipino food or Southeast Asian flavours is a bonus, but not essential
