AXA Ireland are hiring a Trading Underwriter Commercial to join our NI Team based in our Belfast office.
In this role you will be working as part of the Commercial team to deliver sales support, best in class customer service to our Broker Partners and act as a key contributor to AXA Ireland’s Commercial objectives.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of time away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing

Handling new business submissions & renewals in line with agreed processes and risk appetite.

Development of key relationships through day-to-day interactions with broker partners to support business retention and new acquisition.
- Handling technical referrals from broker partners, claims teams and other areas of the business.

Support Business Development teams in relation to potential new recruiting revenue streams.
- Maximise revenue generation through delivery of rate carry optimising sales and retention opportunities.
- Identify new commercial insurance opportunities e.g. Pipeline, broker relationships & visits to brokers.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer service and adhere to the units agreed service standards.
- Take personal responsibility and ownership for delivering on individual and team objective
What we’re looking for:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an underwriting or sales role, with an interest in developing a strong knowledge of Commercial Products and Underwriting criteria. [Essential]

Proven ability to deliver on challenging business targets.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective relations with brokers.
