About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a growing data and insight team. This role is responsible for developing analysis and reporting capabilities, identifying trends, monitoring business performance, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will analyse complex datasets, develop dashboards and reports, improve data quality, and help drive business performance through data-led recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
· Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI.
· Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
· Build and maintain data sources from multiple systems.
· Support stakeholders by providing meaningful analysis and actionable insights.
· Define and implement data acquisition and integration processes.
· Monitor data quality and recommend process improvements.
· Produce clear documentation and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Assist business teams in understanding and accessing data.
· Support projects by providing technical data analysis and reporting.
· Ensure compliance with data protection, governance, and information security requirements.
Requirements
Essential
· Previous experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
· Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
· Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
· Experience with Python, R, XML, JavaScript, or ETL tools.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
· Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Desirable
· Experience within the financial services sector.
· Experience in a B2B environment.
· Knowledge of data modelling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
· Experience supporting pricing, underwriting, or commercial analytics.
· Relevant degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
