The Prince of Wales, Baslow is an award-winning country pub and restaurant, proudly holding 2 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. We are renowned for exceptional food, warm hospitality and outstanding service, and we're looking for an experienced and inspiring General Manager who wants more than just running a business. We want someone with the passion, innovation and vision to help take it to the next level while maintaining the exceptionally high standards our guests have come to expect.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the business.
- Inspiring, coaching and developing a high-performing team.
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences every day.
- Driving sales, profitability and labour efficiency.
- Maintaining the exceptionally high standards required of a 2 AA Rosette establishment.
- Managing rotas, recruitment, training and team performance.
- Bringing fresh ideas, innovation and creativity to continually improve the business.
- Identifying new opportunities to increase sales, enhance the customer experience and keep the Prince of Wales moving forward.
- Working closely with the owners to help shape the future of the business.
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and licensing requirements.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager in a quality hospitality environment.
- Experience working in a business with high standards of food and service.
- A natural leader who inspires and develops their team.
- Someone with spark, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- A commercially minded individual who enjoys finding new opportunities and making things happen.
- A positive, hands-on leader who leads by example.
- A desire to continually improve standards and never settle for "good enough."
